03Visiting in the next few weeks? Speed beats luck
For dates a day or more away, openings are brief. Half of the ones we logged were gone within 15 minutes, and 24% had sold out again before our next check a few minutes later. They appear throughout the day, at no fixed time.

04Groups: split into pairs if you can
Openings are small. 70% had just one or two tickets, the median was 2, and only 16% had five or more.
A couple has much better odds than a family of five. If your group doesn't mind entering a little apart, take pairs in neighbouring time slots as they appear, instead of waiting for one slot with room for everyone.

06Free: the Sunday international mass
An international mass is held every Sunday and holy day of obligation at 9am. Attendance is free and capacity is limited, so arrive early. The entrance is on the Nativity façade, on Carrer de la Marina. It's a service, not a visit, so go for the mass itself.
07Paid backup: tours and resellers
Guided tours and skip-the-line bundles from resellers often still have space when the official shop doesn't. It's the same €26 entry with a guide added, usually for €60–120 per person. It works if you'd rather pay than wait; stick to a platform you recognise.
