01How to request deletion
Pick whichever is easiest — both reach the same place.
- By WhatsApp — reply DELETE in the alert thread from the number you registered. Replying STOP stops messages immediately but keeps your record; DELETE removes it.
- By email — write to [email protected] with the subject “Data deletion request” and include the phone number you registered, so we can find your record.
You do not need to give a reason, and asking costs nothing. We may ask one confirming question if we cannot match the request to an account.
02What gets deleted
Once a request is verified we erase:
- your phone number and email address;
- your alert preferences — the dates, time ranges and visitor count you asked us to watch;
- the history of alerts we sent you and your replies to them;
- your account record and any session data tied to it.
Any active watch is cancelled as part of the same operation, so you will stop receiving alerts.
03What we have to keep
A small amount of data survives deletion because the law requires it or because it no longer identifies you:
- Payment and invoice records — the transaction reference, amount and date, retained for the period tax and accounting law requires. These are held by our payment processor as well as by us.
- Aggregated, anonymised statistics — counts of slots spotted and alerts sent, with no link back to any individual.
- Records needed for a live dispute — kept only until the dispute is resolved, then deleted.
04How long it takes
We action deletion requests within 30 days, and usually within a few working days. We confirm on the channel you contacted us from once it is done.
Encrypted backups roll over on a rotating schedule, so a copy of deleted data may persist in backups for up to 90 days. Backups are not used to restore deleted records, and expire automatically.
05Deleting data held by WhatsApp
Messages we sent you also live in your own WhatsApp app and are processed by Meta. Deleting your record with us does not delete the chat history on your phone — you can clear that yourself in WhatsApp — and does not affect data Meta holds under its own privacy policy.
06Other rights
Deletion is not your only option. You can also ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected, or object to a particular use while keeping your alerts running. See the Privacy Policy for the full list, or just ask us at [email protected].
